Diskpix.exe ver 1.9
copyright (c) 1989, 1990 Charles J. Okstein
DISKPIX is a program to graphically display the state of all the hard disk
drives in a system or network. It presents pie-chart displays showing the
amount of free space on each drive and most importantly, the per-centage of
the drive which has not yet been backed up.
Running the program is an easy and fun way to get a quick mental picture of
when back ups are needed.
Program Requirements:
DISKPIX requires either EGA or VGA graphics mode. This version will not
work on CGA systems.
It works with up to 26 hard drives (or RAM disks), displaying either a
single drive image or groups of four drives at a time.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Using the Program - at the DOS prompt, type:
1. DISKPIX
- Diskpix will display a full-screen image of the default drive.
or -
* 2. DISKPIX D: (or DISKPIX D)
- (where D is any valid hard drive choice) - DISKPIX
will display a full-screen image of chosen drive.
or -
* 3. DISKPIX *.* (or DISKPIX *)
- DISKPIX will display quarter-screen images of all hard drives
on the system - tap the space bar to move to the new screen.
4. DISKPIX ?
- DISKPIX shows a help screen
* This version will also checks the DOS environment, so that you can set
us a line in your autoexec.bat file, such as
SET DISKPIX=E: (no spaces before or after the equal sign).
Then, when you type from the DOS prompt
DISKPIX
you will see the display for drive E:
